LЄOn bASILЄ Facing bust of Leo V, wearing crown surmounted by cross and chlamys, holding globus cruciger in his right hand and akakia in his left; in field to right, Λ. Rev. COnSTAҺT[...] Facing bust of Constantine, wearing crown surmounted by cross and chlamys, holding cross potent in his right hand and akakia in his left. DOC -, cf. 10 (with K on the reverse). SB -, cf. 1633 (with K on the reverse). Unpublished without K on the reverse. Struck from a somewhat corroded reverse die, otherwise, about extremely fine.

From the collection of Dr. Max Blaschegg (1930-2021, with collector’s ticket) and that of his father, Dr. Karl Blaschegg (1892-1951).

This hitherto unpublished tremissis is the smaller denomination to SB 1632B, a rare issue without K in the right reverse field.
